so technically my last day of work was on the 27th. if they don't call me and mira back that is. well, they already did but we rejected cos school's reopening soon.

as much as i hate going to work(mainly cos of customers), at least the people there are caring. quite international i must say. malaysia, indonesia, philippines, china, india, nepal and that one nice girl from i'm not sure...vietnam or myanmar. by now, you'll realise there's no point reading further unless you have nothing else to do. this post is more like a self recount of work. it's gonna be scattered.
because mira and i worked night shifts, it is no wonders that the majority there were guys. about three weeks into december, the manager changed shift. he was replaced by kakak and the vietnam/myanmar girl. at last, girls! hehe.
by then, mira and i took turns to work since hakim had come back from cuti kahwin. almost everyday we'd call each other to update on what happened. more of like complain sessions. we'd talk for very long. kalahkan pasangan bercinta.
of course, meal was provided. but i still dunno if we were allowed to take the food other than that meal. anyhow, they would sneakingly take the pastry for us. there were times also when they experimented with food and let me judged. milo milkshake. "tastes like milo icecream". mek sejak bila ada aiskrim milo. they told me they once tried adding milo into hard boiled egg. haha ew.
oh there's this aunty who starts work at 6am. she always complain about the dish washer's incompetency. "hari hari macam gini gua boleh mati oh". haha. diorang dua asyik bermasam muka je. gelagat diorang reminds me of my late grandma with her sister.
there was one time, at around 3am, we witnessed the police putting up like some sort of barricades from the entrance to the departure hall. and gradually, girls started streaming in, armed with banners. that was the first time i was so close to fanatic fans. when the superstars walked into the terminal, the girls were screaming like mad. mira heard some guy saying "what kind of superstars go to budget terminal?". ahah. i'm not sure who they were. some tawainese stars i believe.
mira has ever witnessed a customer being brought away by police. we later learnt from the papers that he was in posession of heroin.
nearing the o level results day, there was once mira and i worked together. we were fretting over the results day. we were cleaning the dining area and there were no customers at all. quite a rare. we were convincing ourselves it was because malaikat lalu and that we will get into jc insya' Allah. Alhamdulillah, we got into a jc and the same one at that. i remember everytime they asked when school starts, we would say feb so that we could stop work asap. banyak-banyak cakap gitu macam doa la kan. dapat jugak masuk jc.
oh ya, it's funny that the first person who called me to ask about my results was hakim. that morning i was working, tak keruan seh. he noticed my anxiousness and was telling me not to be all stressed up. he also gave mira a call even though apparently it was his sleeping time. "pass tak?" :D.
tabik ah orang-orang ni. some of them came to singapore alone. some ulang-alik johor. some come to gain work experience, some to earn cash, one came as an attachment.
that filipino guy was asking what's 'how are you' in malay. we told him 'apa khabar?'. and then he said "abacadabra!" lengkap dengan action sekali. kekek ah.

it was an eye-opener experience. but i don't see myself in f&b in the future.

i'm posted to meridian. i never really set my eyes on any particular college so i accept whichever jc i'm given. man, i hate first days. but goodbyes are harder:(
